Chad Reynolds, Senior Pastor

Chad grew up in Rock Hill, SC. He graduated from Erskine College (‘97) where he met his wife Laney. He worked in textiles for two years after graduation before returning to Erskine Theological Seminary to pursue his M.Div (‘03). Chad previously served as a youth director and associate pastor at Greenville ARP Church (1999-2004), associate pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Lake Wales (2004-09), and senior pastor at FPC of Lake Wales (2009-21). He moved to Clinton in May 2021 to be the senior pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Chad and Laney have three children: Garret (‘01), Eli (‘03), and Keely Ruth (‘13). Chad enjoys dark roast coffee, the mountains, and good stories (books, movies, podcasts…).


Trevor Downie, Assistant Pastor 

Trevor was born in Scotland and raised in Florence, AL. He is a graduate of Rhodes College (B.S. Biology) and Union Theological Seminary in Virginia (M.Div.). He also did some post-grad studies at the University of Wisconsin. He and his wife Lynn (m. 1989) have a daughter, Sarah. Trevor has pastored churches in West Virginia, Tennessee, and South Carolina. He ministers at WPC in a variety of ways but has a particular emphasis in missions and our ministry to international students at PC. Trevor is an avid reader. He especially enjoys reading about church history, British history, and theology. He also has a keen interest in freshwater ecology, creation science, and Christian stewardship of the environment. In addition, Trevor loves to travel and has visited 42 states and a number of foreign countries. 


Penny Greer, Church Life Administrator 

Penny was born and raised in Valdosta, Georgia. Penny graduated with her BS in Biblical Education from Columbia Bible College (‘78; now Columbia International University). She moved to Clinton in 1979 to serve as a houseparent at Thornwell Home for Children. She had many sons and daughters throughout her 25 years at Thornwell, for which she gives thanks to God! Penny came on staff at WPC in 2004 as Children’s Ministry Director, serving in that role until 2020. She serves now as administrator for numerous aspects of the church life here at WPC. Penny enjoys sewing, crocheting, and reading. 


Jen Partee, Director of Communications 

Jen spent her first twelve years in Cherry Hill, NJ before moving to Durham, NC. After graduating from Furman University with a BA in English and marrying her husband Pete, they settled in Laurens where they have lived since 1999. Jen worked for Wilson Sporting Goods in the shipping department for two years before staying home to care for her four children: Aden (’99), Casey (’03), Finley (’05), and Gibson (’10). She joined the staff at WPC in the summer of 2021 as Communications Director. Jen enjoys watching sports (especially Duke basketball), supporting her kids’ endeavors, and traveling with Pete and her family. Around WPC she also loves women’s ministry including organizing Bible studies and women’s trips. 


Dennis Campbell, Treasurer 

Dennis grew up in Union, S.C. He is a graduate of Union High School, Newberry College, and LSU Graduate School of Banking. He also completed additional graduate studies at the University of Colorado-Boulder in Asset/Liability Management and Investing. Dennis retired from Arthur State Bank after forty years as Senior Vice President. He served as a member of its Board of Directors for twenty-five years. He and Kathy have two daughters: Mary-Wallace Riley, Anne-Jackson (AJ) Jeffcoat; and two grandchildren: Daniel & Lydia Riley. Dennis has been serving as the treasurer at WPC since 2020. He enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with family. 


Nancy Bruyere Sperling, Pianist and Interim Director of Music Ministries 

Nancy grew up in Clinton. She is a graduate of Presbyterian College (Biology) and Self Regional School of Medical Technology (MT, ASCP). Nancy enjoyed a career as a Registered Nurse. She was married to the late Andre Bruyere, until his death in 2001, with whom she raised their children, Adam and Anna Joy. In God’s providence, Nancy married James Sperling in 2022. In addition to music, she enjoys sewing, painting, playing with her dog (Aggie), and spending time with her granddaughters – Amelia, Sadie, and Anna Kate. 

Amy Link, Interim Choir Director  

Amy is a Charlotte, NC native but has been a Clinton resident since 1991. She holds a BA in Music Education from Presbyterian College and a Masters in Music from Converse College. Amy is a recent retiree from teaching Elementary Music, Chorus, and Theatre in Laurens County School District 56. She has two grown daughters and a son-in-law. Amy enjoys singing in the Laurens County Chorale, the Sandlapper Singers (based in Columbia), and participating with the Laurens County Community Theatre, along with her husband, Bob. 

Mary Davidson, Interim Pianist  

Mary lived her whole life in the suburbs of Philadelphia and moved to Clinton in 2021.  She graduated from West Chester University with a degree in Speech Communications and a minor in Music.  She also has a certificate in Computer Programming.  She met her husband, Will, at a church where they both played on the worship team.  Mary sang, played keyboard, piano, and bass on worship teams for 20 years.  She plays the euphonium in the Presbyterian College Wind Ensemble and at church.  Mary enjoys making music with their four children, Zachariah, Josiah, Jeremiah, and Elizabeth.  She is a homeschool mom and virtual bookkeeper.
